MEET SHALANDA
Born in Algiers, on the Westbank of New Orleans, Shalanda is a lifelong resident of Jefferson Parish and Native New Orleanian. After graduating from Seton Academy (Redeemer-Seton), Shalanda went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1999 and her MBA at the University of New Orleans in 2001. After graduating from Seton Academy (Redeemer-Seton), Shalanda went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1999 and her MBA at the University of New Orleans in 2001. She worked in public service throughout her career starting at the Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH), then moving on the Orleans Levee District Compliance Department before returning to DHH to work with a team of professionals on important programs that positively impacted the lives of Louisiana’s residents and visitors. This experience led Shalanda to serve as a Consultant for several years before dedicating and directing her experience and passion for people and community as the Broker and Owner of Shalanda Realty. She employs her faith as well as her roles as wife and mother in her everyday duties in Real Estate with integrity, respect and professionalism. Licensed since 2005, Shalanda has a wealth of experience and provides excellent service while successfully nurturing clients from concept to closing.
